US based Riedel Resources has received a spate of shallow high-grade gold and silver hits that it says confirm and strengthen the existing broad zone of mineralisation across its lucrative Tintic prospect in Arizona. Standout results include 3.8 metres grading a formidable 11.64 grams per tonne gold from 30.5m downhole, 4.6m going 12.43 g/t gold from 45m and 6.9m at 2.84 g/t gold and 82 g/t silver from 18.3m.

Other notable results from the final batch of assays at the Tintic prospect include 2.3m grading 5.4 g/t gold and 125 g/t silver from 77m downhole, 2.3m going 3.35 g/t gold from 44.2m and 1.5m at 3.52 g/t gold from 22.1m downhole.

Several polymetallic hits from Tintic that intersected elevated grades of lead and zinc include a 1.5m section going 4.36 g/t gold, 84 g/t silver, 2.0 per cent lead and 3 per cent zinc from 74.7m downhole. Additionally, a 1.5m wide mineralised parcel gave up 1.67 g/t gold, 205 g/t silver, 3.2 per cent lead and 2.7 per cent zinc from 48.8m downhole.

The gold and silver mineralised trend at Tintic now extends over 600m along strike and is approximately 200m wide.

Despite the reasonably wide drill spacings in the latest campaign, a very high percentage of holes intersected shallow gold and silver mineralisation.

Drilling is due to recommence at Tintic in late February to early March when the company will continue to explore the shallow, high-grade zones encountered to date with a tighter spaced drilling campaign in order to get a more complete picture of how much gold and silver it may be sitting on.

Preliminary metallurgical testwork of the Tintic ore is pencilled in to commence in 2022 ahead of the tabling of a mineral resource estimate.

Tintic consists of a historic mining area that was prevalent in the 1800’s and early 1900’s. It makes up part of the company’s Kingman project in north-west Arizona that is approximately 90 minutes drive from Las Vegas and boasts several other gold and silver bearing prospects.

The latest round of drill results were from the final outstanding drill samples remaining at the lab from a 48-hole RC drill program for a total 4,190m conducted in 2021.

Previously reported high-grade hits at Tintic from the 2021 RC program showed some outstanding results including 5.3m grading at a cracking 18.12 g/t gold from 23.6m downhole with an internal 1.5m parcel ringing the till at 42.3 g/t gold.

Other high-grade results from the 2021 campaign include a 1.5m section at 35.65 g/t gold from 30.5m and 4.6m going 12.43 g/t gold from 43m downhole in amongst myriad other juicy results.

The key themes at Tintic are high grades, shallow depths and what appears to be geological consistency in the area drilled to date. We have to keep reminding ourselves that this is an exploration program, as the strike rate of drill holes intersecting shallow gold and silver mineralisation has been outstanding

Mineralisation appears to be open in several directions and drilling has confirmed it occurs in more than one zone. The potential exists for both lateral and depth extensions to the already broad zone identified.

Riedel Resources’ Chairman, Michael Bohm

The historically high-grade nature of the gold and silver mining district around Riedel’s ground is encouraging and the company’s string of exceptional assays from recent drilling will likely turn a few heads as it looks to keep the ball rolling with infill and extensional drilling at its flagship Tintic project in 2022.
